This is a known bug that is currently being fixed. The fix will be available in the next update.

This is a known bug that is currently being fixed. The fix will be available in the next update.
I am pressing letters on the game board to spell words, but nothing is being spelled
Please note that the game requires that you press and hold down and trace your finger over the letters you want to spell a word. There is currently no support for individually selecting each letter.
There are two ways to deal with this issue.
The first way is to turn on or turn off the game sounds by going to Options from the splash screen and checking/unchecking the "Game Sounds" option.
The second way to adjust the volume of game sounds is to press the volume up/volume down buttons on your phone while a game sound is played. Since the intro music is the longest game sound that WordUp! plays, you will probably want to adjust your volume when the game starts up.

This issue has been fixed, but requires that you uninstall and reinstall the game fresh from the market. Unfortunately, this will clear your high scores and other game preferences. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
I bought the WordUp! Upgrade app, but I'm still getting advertisements
Please note that you will need both the free version of WordUp! and the WordUp! Upgrade app installed on your phone in order to play ad-free. Once you've ensured that both of these are installed on your phone, simply launch WordUp! like you normally would to play.
The dictionary doesn't contain a word I know is a word
Please note that proper nouns (words starting with a capital letter), slang words, euphemisms (e.g., "dang") that cannot stand as words on their own, informal words (e.g., "wow") and words with apostrophes are not allowed.
Since this is a family game, certain racial slurs and most offensive words (think George Carlin's list of naughty words) have also been excluded.
If you believe you have a legitimate word that is not recognized by WordUp! please send us an email telling us the word(s) you would like to have added.
Finally, please note that the Contemporary dictionary is constantly being expanded. Each update usually contains thousands of new words.

Although this is a great idea, it simply falls too far down on our priority list right now.
The game puts too many (or not enough) words on the board for me to solve
It's important to note that WordUp! doesn't build a board by "picking" words first and then placing them in the appropriate place. Instead, WordUp! will produce a random grid of letter cubes and then runs an algorithm to look for all of the possible words contained in the grid. This should explain why some boards produce less words and some produce more.
The number of possible words is displayed on the play screen as soon as a board is solved. You can look at that to determine if you want to keep playing, or simply press "New Game" to try a different board.
